Raft under the midnight sun

During mid June and mid July, Alaska experiences the “midnight sun,” long hours of daylight prompting many requests for evening raft trips. This has been a local favorite for celebrating the summer solstice and enjoying the soft hues of the evening twilight.

The evening Lion Head raft trip is available to private parties of 6 or more. The evening trip is traditionally the high-water run of the day and is very popular with Alaskans.

Customize as needed for your special party. You can bring your own food and beverage for after the whitewater segment or arrange to have it professionally catered. The trip must end around midnight. There's free camping after the trip where you're parked as well as recommended accommodations nearby. Please call the NOVA office for more information and availability.
