Six Mile Creek, Alaska's most challenging whitewater rafting trip was pioneered by NOVA!

We ran Six Mile Creek for 10 years without competition before the Forest Service permitted others to operate on it. That just reinforces the fact we’ve been leading the way on commercial whitewater rafting trips in Alaska.

Six Mile Creek has three canyons with narrow routes, thrilling rapids, beautiful pools and rock canyons dressed in lush vegetation, and it’s been considered for National Wild and Scenic River designation.

We offer two different whitewater trips: a class IV run on the first 2 canyons (3 hours), or a trip which combines the 2 canyons with the class V segments of the third canyon (4 1⁄2 hours). Both trips include a fun river training swim before the start, and the popular swim after the rapids! NOVA has rafted Six Mile Creek commercially for 25 years, under permit Chugach National Forest.
